I created Body in Mind LLC to help bring more balance and health into the lives of those in my community. I have found a passion for helping people find relief when they are in pain and discomfort. I want to aid people in taking care of themselves in different stages and situations of life. I love to integrate various massage and myopractic techniques to fit the unique needs of every client. There is nothing like the discovery of another way to help the body’s own healing processes.
My Goal:
My Background:
Growing up my mom always sought out holistic healthcare solutions to help our bodies the best she knew how. That has guided my beliefs that our bodies are powerful and there are amazing techniques from all around the world that can help us heal. As I got older, I noticed the wear and tear that my dad’s job took on his body. As I was looking to find fulfillment in a career I realized that I wanted to help people, like my dad, seek the healing and preventative care their bodies need. Every person has a different background, but we can all receive benefits from caring for our bodies a little more.
I started my massage therapy studies at Center for Massage in Asheville, North Carolina. I have since been licensed to practice in both North Carolina and Arizona (where I currently reside and practice). Continuing to learn new techniques and methods is important to me. Since graduating in 2022, I have gone on to study advanced techniques in Myopractics and Watsu. I have trained in myopractics under the direction of Don Hirschi and look forward to continuing to learn and grow in this area of expertise.
I enjoy using a variety of techniques to help your unique body find healing, comfort and balance.
What is myopractics?
Myopractics is an advanced methodology of holistic healing and bodywork. It uses non-traumatic methods of musculoskeletal manipulation to bring thee body into balance. The focus of a myopractic treatment often encompasses the articulation of the pelvis and the importance of having your feet balanced properly beneath the rest of your body. By focusing on this integral area, we are able to then branch out to other areas of the body to aid in any discomfort you may be feeling there. I will notice areas of imbalance by identifying patterns of muscle development that reflect the body’s functional movement and the transfer of body weight. I aim to bring greater balance and symmetry to ease the body’s burdens and restore the body’s functional movement.
During my initial studies and continuing education, I have studied numerous specialties of massage on different levels. I believe that there are healing benefits in all of the styles that I have experienced, so there is no one style that I prescribe to. I want to use all of my knowledge to choose the right moves for the needs of your body. Some areas of study that I refer to include: Swedish massage, trigger point therapy, reflexology, Shiatsu, deep tissue massage and sports massage.
